CLAMP Told That Some People is Suitable for the Commercial Publishing and Someone is Not .

Chobits

— What’s the secret of being able to work together for 15 years?

Ohkawa: Maybe because, when we work, we are not friends.

Doing manga is our job. We are able to forgive things char we would not be able to …

if we were friends, because we are professionals.

But sometimes there are things we can’t forgive since we work as professionals.

Igarashi: We are professionals while we are working,

and we are friends when we hang out together.

We change our mind-sec depending on the situation.

Nekoi: Sometimes, there are things you can’t stand if you are just friends.

— Would you recommend self-publication to artists seeking to debut?

Ohkawa: It depends on the person.

When you publish a book by yourself, you can draw it just for you,

but you can’t do that when you work for a publisher.

If you really want to go for commercial magazines,

you need to understand that—otherwise you would suffer later on.

Some people are suited for commercial magazines,

so it’s good for them to start there.

Happy New Year 2017: Nanase Okawa Told On Diversity with “Card Chaptor Sakura” on 2016

Card Capter sakura

Explanation:

In the work “Card Captor Sakura” the two boys play an important role and they are gey.

Okawa told her thought about diversity.

Remarks of Nanase Okawa:

“I think that it is a natural thing to measure people and measure the society with their own “ruler”.

However, if you think that only your “ruler” is correct when you see the “ruler” of a different person,

you think then that it is “weird”.

While diversity is said to be important,

I think that it is better not to hate others’ rulers.

But, if I do not feel completely dislike, I lose my own ruler.

Then it makes me painful.
You should have your “ruler” properly. In addition to that,

I think it will be easier if you have another one when confronting another person.

But it is difficult to have two.” source

Goro Taniguchi(谷口悟朗)(Director)
To those who will see from now. I have tried trying to make it even more enjoyable to those who watch TV even for those who watch it for the first time. However, I am sorry. It has become longer than 2 hours. We are aware of the long way in recent movies. Information is also many. Please be prepared.
To those who think what to do. We are also adjusting the sound etc. to enjoy the most in movie theaters. I hope if you can enjoy it in the environment assumed by the staff if possible.
This work is set on the earth in a fictional age. Most of the world is occupied by three of “E.U”, “Chinese Federation”, and “Sacred Britannia Empire”, Japan is set to be occupied by Sacred Britannia Empire and becoming a colony. Among them, the abandoned prince and son of the Holy Britannia empire are living …… It will be a development, but as I do not draw a setting, I will live in such a world and go forward I started talking about Lelouch as he wanted to draw a human being. It may be a tiny event of not more than a few years in the long history of mankind. But that is why he is going forward. We have to proceed. And, apart from such circumstances of the world, many people will also advance for their own way. I thought that it is the world, I am taking code Geass. This work reconstitutes a television work of ten years ago. Regardless of it, I understand that negative opinions on using images at the time of broadcasting will come out. It will be ugly. It will be uneven. But they are staffs and casts that have been moving for ten years. In that sense, I think that this is one of the documentaries. It is said that such a thing is “Code Geass” “Lelouch of the Rebellion”. Hopefully this passion will reach you in your mind at all.

Okouchi Ichiro (大河内一楼)(series composition / script)
Ten years have passed since the broadcast of “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion”. Even after 10 years, the voice of support ceased. Many fans continued to love ‘Code Geass’.
In response to that voice, the concept of the sequel has been raised. We took this opportunity to summarize “Code Geass” so far and want to make new people enjoy it. However, seeing all 50 TV series is hard to enter, it is hard for people to recommend. So, I reconstructed it into the form of three movies. Everyone who knew about “Code Geass” for the first time, it is okay if you only see this movie. Everyone who loved ‘Code Geass’ for ten years, please encourage this movie and increase the number of friends. We devised so that everyone who saw the TV series, including all new sounds, addition of new scenes, can enjoy it.
The new decade of “Code Geass” will start from October 21st. Everyone, I’m very glad when you stand at that starting point. (this article is cited from here)

CLAMP: one of the most famous Manga artists group in Japan

Card Captor Sakura, one of the famous Work

Abstract

Clamp (クランプ Kuranpu) is an all-female Japanese manga artist group that formed in the mid-1980s. It consists of leader Nanase Ohkawa (大川 七瀬 Ōkawa Nanase), and three artists whose roles shift for each series: Mokona (もこな Mokona), Tsubaki Nekoi (猫井 椿 Nekoi Tsubaki), and Satsuki Igarashi (いがらし 寒月 Igarashi Satsuki). Almost 100 million Clamp tankōbon copies have been sold worldwide as of October 2007.[1]
Beginning as an eleven-member dōjinshi circle in the mid-1980s, they began creating original work in 1987. By the time they debuted with RG Veda in 1989, the group was reduced to seven members. In 1993, three more members left, leaving the four members who are currently still part of the group. In 2006, the members decided to change their names; Ohkawa later changed her name back from Ageha Ohkawa to Nanase Ohkawa, while the other three members retained their new names.(Here more)

Who they are?

CLAMP (クランプ, Kuranpu) is an all-female Japanese mangaka group which has earned the title of the Queens of Shōjo (being shojo the manga directed to young girls). They have a very sadistic style which could be interpreted as manga for adult people, but also varying the themes of their series, from childish and comedic to dramatic, tragedy and teen-rated. They are worldwide known for Card Captor Sakura.

The group currently consists of four Osaka women: their leader, Nanase Ohkawa (大川 七瀬, Ōkawa Nanase), who provides much of the storyline, scripting and direction; Mokona (もこな, Mokona), formerly Mokona Apapa, who usually’s in charge of the art; Tsubaki Nekoi (猫井 椿, Nekoi Tsubaki), formerly Mick Nekoi, and Satsuki Igarashi (いがらし 寒月, Igarashi Satsuki), she conserved her name but changed her Hiragana and Kanji (formerly 五十嵐さつき), both of them assistants.

They started as a dōjinshi circle called Clamp Cluster in the mid 1980s, drawing dôjinshis from 1987 until 1991. Originally, CLAMP was a 12-member group. They were: Mokona Apapa, Tsubaki Nekoi, Satsuki Igarashi, O-Kyon, Sei Nanao, Tamayo Akiyama, Leeza Sei, Sōshi Hishika, Kazue Nakamori, Shinya Ōmi.

Their dôjinshis were published in a collection called CLAMP BOOK. They also published a “doujinshi” collection called CLAP NEWS, which included small stories with their most recent series at the time, and artbook images. They currently reside in Tokyo.

CLAMP created their original artwork by 1987. Because of the successes they had, seven of them decided to go professionally, debuting with their first manga, RG Veda in 1989. The three additional members were: Nanao Sei 七穂せい, Hijiri Leeza 聖りいざ and Akiyama Tamayo 秋山たまよ, the latter having written DERAYD and CLUSTER with CLAMP. Akiyama is now a solo mangaka, and has completed a fourth volume of CLUSTER. Nanao Sei was the first of those three to quit the group as she saw no future in drawing anymore.(More)

What is best ClAMP’s Work?

  1. Tsubasa Chronicles (ツバサクロニクル)

A plot on a massive scale, spanning countless dimensions and time itself. An amazing tale of heroism, despair, determination, and tragic romance. A thousand gambits and contingency plans blend into one as Fei Wang seeks to fulfill his dream. Plot twists will hit you one after another, each more shocking than the last, all leading up to the most epic finale I have ever read.

Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE is personally my most favorite manga of all time. The story and plot was really interesting yet pretty confusing towards the end. Each character Fai & Kurogane especially Sakura & Syaoran all had some tragedy in their past and are going through a lot (as I said Sakura & Syaoran). I love all characters To me the story was so good whenever it got to the sad heart breaking parts you truly feel their pain and struggle. Their self-sacrifices for the one they love. Really this story is a real tear dropper it made me cry like a Baka :’)….(more Here)

the History of CLAMP and a big Status of the adoption Manga in USA.

The name Clamp may sound odd and unfamiliar to Western ears, but this four-woman studio ranks among the most successful creators of manga, or graphic novels, in Japan and the United States. Over the last 17 years these women — Satsuki Igarashi, Apapa Mokona, Tsubaki Nekoi and Ageha Ohkawa — have produced 22 popular manga series, many of which have been adapted to animation, including “X,” “Chobits” and “Cardcaptor Sakura,” all available on DVD in the United States.

“Clamp have been an integral part of the manga explosion that’s occurred in the U.S. over the past several years,” said Dallas Middaugh, associate publisher of the Del Rey Manga division of Random House, in an e-mail message. “Their fluid, dramatic artwork and storytelling style struck a strong chord with male and female manga readers.”

More than one million copies of the “Tsubasa” manga have been sold in the United States, and next month Del Rey will publish a character guide to that popular series. The Houston-based FUNimation Entertainment recently announced that the 52-episode animated television program based on “Tsubasa” would be available on DVD in this country early next year.

When they discuss their work, the four artists of Clamp confer among themselves; then Ms. Ohkawa usually acts as spokeswoman.

Through an interpreter, Ms. Ohkawa explained in an interview that the studio began as a group of 11 art students who got together to create doujinshi, or fan comics: amateur publications that continue the adventures of popular animated and/or manga characters. No one remembers who chose the name Clamp, but it stuck, long after the group shrank to four members who became professionals.(more)

xxxHolic is an absolute succeeded Manga written by Clamp

xxxHolic is a famous popular Manga by Clamp. Here I corrected some Reviews on this Manga on Internet.

Abstract of the Story.

For me, xxxHolic walks a fine line. At its root, this series is a motley collection of morality tales framed by slapstick humor and J-horror. It’s something of a unique twist on the average anime (which isn’t particularly surprising coming from CLAMP), but, in the end, comes together with just enough cohesion to push it into a likable state.
At the start of the series, viewers are quickly introduced to all the major players. First and foremost is Kimihiro Watanuki, a teenage boy that sees both good and evil spirits. Watanuki doesn’t really enjoy this gift – he sees it more as a curse – and signs a contract with a wish granting woman named Yuuko to rid him of its presence. Unfortunately, Yuuko demands payment of Watanuki and thus employs him as a cook, messenger, and general servant. A number of other character act as support for Watanuki, but none are featured as much as the young gangly boy. From there you’ll experience a range of teenage subplots, everything from angst driven romances to male rivalry, all of which revolve around a series of loosely connected episodes that dance between the lighthearted and the macabre.
The plot, however, isn’t the first thing most viewers will notice…..Here you can read on.

Reviews: what is the attractiveness of this Manga?

I had initial doubts about this anime, no thanks to Tsubasa Chronicle which contained cross-over characters from xxxHolic and I just happen to really, really dislike the former.
Having said that, I am pleased to announce that xxxHolic is nothing like Tsubasa and I thoroughly enjoy this super-natural drama with a slice-of-life thrown in. Now, I’m not normally a big fan of horror and super-natural anime, but I felt that xxxHolic has achieved something that most series in the horror genre does not have. xxxHolic’s story is based on superstitious tales and folklore, rather than another dose of vampires that seem too common these days. And superstitious beliefs are something that is close to everyone’s heart – we had all believed in it one time or another, especially when we were still young. Now that we are older and wiser, we tend to dismiss it all as hogwash.
xxxHolic gives me a….(Here you can read more…)

Main Character “Kimihiro Watanaba”. Who is he?

Watanuki has short black hair, and blue/indigo eyes at the beginning of the series. He almost always wears his school uniform which varies between his school’s black jacket and trousers or simply his school trousers and a white short shirt.
When half way through both the anime and manga he loses the sight in his right eye due to a spider’s grudge curse, his left iris turns a dull milky grey color. After failing to retrieve his sight in this eye , he receives half of Doumeki’s right eye’s sight, which causes his right eye to turn a dark green with a brownish tint ( in the Anime), or gold-brown (in the Manga). For the majority of the series, however…(Here you can read more)

Yuuko Ichihara(壱原侑子):  a magical women in far-east Asia.

Being one extremely experienced in her industry, Yūko is not foolish enough to give away her real name like Watanuki. That aside, Yūko has served as a major catalyst for Watanuki’s transformation, acting somewhat as his mentor. She loves to drink and eat Watanuki’s wonderful cooking and dragging Watanuki on crazy outings at the drop of a hat.

Despite this immature and free-spirited attitude, Yūko has been known to be sage-like and serious when the time calls for it. Yūko seems to know the true hitsuzen that Watanuki will follow, and has often offered cryptic messages to warn him of impending danger or a folk tale that he should take a bit more seriously. She also seems to truly care about him, making sure he is safe at night, sending the Kudakitsune (pipe-fox) with him for extra protection, or calling Dōmeki when he needs saving. Yūko is very powerful when it comes to magic and…..(Here more).

Who is the Writer?

×××Holic (Japanese: ×××ホリック Hepburn: Horikku, pronounced as “Holic”) is a manga written and illustrated by the group of manga artists known as Clamp. The series, which crosses over with another Clamp work Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, revolves around Kimihiro Watanuki, a high-school student disturbed by his ability to see the supernatural, and Yūko Ichihara, a witch who owns a wish-granting shop. When Watanuki asks Yūko to remove his ability to see spirits, she grants it on the condition that he pay for his wish by working for her. Clamp created xxxHolic link the supernatural and fantasy series. They are currently working on a spin-off series xxxHolic: Rei………..(Here more)
